He received his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. McCabe practices in the area of construction, real estate and land use. He has extensive experience in a wide variety of construction and development matters. His construction practice includes considerable experience as both an advisor and advocate in representing developers, owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers on construction contract negotiations and dispute resolution. His practice includes the negotiation and preparation of contracts for the purchase and sale of residential and commercial real property. His growth management, land use, and eminent domain practice includes the filing of applications and the organization, preparation and presentation of cases. He has represented clients before municipals and county zoning authorities as well as various state and local governmental agencies. Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. McCabe worked in the engineering industry for 6 years as an aviation, transportation and structural engineer. Additionally, he has experience in construction management, including scheduling, estimating, building codes, contract negations, contract agreements, performance bonds, and project management. Specifically, he was employed as a Project Engineer for Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc.

He received his Juris Doctor degree, with Honors, from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2005. Originally from Vero Beach, Florida, he relocated to Jacksonville in 2002. He began practicing with the Public Defender’s Office, before co-founding the Law Office of McCabe & Farooq, P.A. He handles both criminal and civil cases for clients in Florida state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.
Mr. Farooq advises and represents corporate and individual clients in areas including Criminal Defense, Real Estate, Contracts, Commercial Litigation, and Construction.

Ms. Hilliard was a member of the Golden Key National Honors Society and a charter member of Gamma Beta Phi Honors Fraternity during her undergraduate studies. In law school, Ms. Hilliard was recognized as a Book Award Recipient and Dean's List scholar. She was a member of the Mock Trial Team, Student Pro Bono Committee and the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Ms. Hilliard was also an elected legislator and promotions chairperson for the Student Bar Association. During law school, she also became a certified Guardian Ad Litem and continues to devote time and effort to the organization. After law school, Maggie Jo Hilliard was an Assistant State Attorney under State Attorney Harry Shorstein for Duval and Clay Counties. She now practices primarily in the area criminal defense (state and federal) at the Law Office of McCabe & Farooq, P.A. Ms. Hilliard also advises and represents corporate and individual clients in civil litigation, primarily focusing on Landlord/Tenant disputes, Family Law issues and small claims disputes. Additionally, she drafts wills, trusts and other estate planning tools. In her spare time, Ms. Hilliard loves to create works of art through photography and painting.
